Mine eyes have seen the glory of the coming of the Lord;
He is trampling out the vintage where the grapes of wrath are stored;
He hath loosed the fateful lightning of his terrible swift sword:
His truth is marching on.
I have seen him in the watch-fires of a hundred circling camps;
They have builded him an altar in the evening dews and damps;
I can read his righteous sentence by the dim and flaring lamps;
His day is marching on.
I have read a fiery gospel, writ in burnished rows of steel:
"As ye deal with my contemners, so with you my grace shall deal;
Let the Hero, born of woman, crush the serpent with his heel,
Since God is marching on."
He has sounded forth the trumpet that shall never call retreat;
He is sifting out the hearts of men before his judgment-seat;
Oh, be swift, my soul, to answer him! be jubilant, my feet!
Our God is marching on.
With a glory in his bosom that transfigures you and me:
As he died to make men holy, let us die to make men free,
While God is marching on.

O Worship the King
O worship the King
All glorious above;
O gratefully sing
His power and his love:
Our Shield and Defender,
The Ancient of days,
Pavilioned in splendour,
And girded with praise.
O tell of his might,
O sing of his grace,
Whose robe is the light,
Whose canopy space.
His chariots of wrath
The deep thunder-clouds form,
And dark is his path
On the wings of the storm.

This one was taken from where by brothers are building thier tree fort.

In the middle of summer both sides of this path are covered with yellow flowers.
On a quite dirt road that nonbody knows exist, that leads into a forrest in the middle of nowhere... somebody thought it sensible to put up a 'no tresspassing' sign.
The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork.
A rotten cedar tree fell over when a wind came by. (Photo Curtesy: my youngest brother)

Hail
It was a bright and clear day. We were all getting ready to go to 'Charachter Club'. Then somebody looked out the window. The sky was black and scary looking. We had been discusing whether or not to bring the clothes in off the line. That settled the question. within 5 minuets it had begun to rain... and (you guessed it) the rain turned to hail . Our chickens who don't generaly go in in a rain, decided that perhaps they had better after all. It was hillarious to watch them run helterskelter for cover ( and the cats were funny too. The dogs were in the porch, which is their usual shelter, so they had to find antoher one or share with the dogs:) ). It hailed for about 5 minuets, hard hail... and then it stopped and the beutiful day with the lovely sky returned. Only now we had hail all over our yard.
They were mostly the size of rather large grapes, but some of them were gain on lemons size.
Got to go now... we are improving the kitchen today... mabye I can post some pictures about that later.

On Christmas Eve.. at midnight.
Here in
Here are some of them. They don't really portray the quiet, evening snowfall that one always imagines do they?
The hood of Grandpa + Grandma's RV. They spent Christmas with us that year
The best place to gather snow was were there was a hard surface. Roofs and a cement slab we had in our front yard worked well for this. This is our dog/well house roof. It has recentlly been 'scraped'.
Timothy has a snowball. (I think it was the biggest we got, but I am not sure.)
Heres a couple of other ones.
Have you ever seen such a perfect snowball as this one?
Real hard packed too....
Just kidding. Thats a piece of hail from our 5 minuet hailstorm later in the year. :) Maybe I can tell you about that tommorow.

In the country
In the Country
Wee peepin' green things
Under ilka hedge:
Gowden glints by water springs
On the saxifrage.
Here a "Kirk-clock" moschatel,
Sma' but unco sweet:
Here a scale, o'buds to tell,
Shreddit at our feet.
Sair, wi' care they main be shod,
A' that wadna say,
Ilka road's a bonnie road
When April warms to May
The Jabberwoky
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe.
"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
The frumious Bandersnatch!"
He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought-
- So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
And stood awhile in thought.
And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
And burbled as it came!
One, two! One, two! And through and through
The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
He went galumphing back.
"And hast thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arm, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!"
He chortled in his joy.
'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
And the mome raths outgrabe
(Lewis Carroll The Annotated Alice 191-97).

Luke 12:27-28
If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith?

Job 9:4-13
Which removeth the mountains, and they know not: which overturneth them in his anger.
Which shaketh the earth out of her place, and the pillars thereof tremble.
Which commandeth the sun, and it riseth not; and sealeth up the stars.
Which alone spreadeth out the heavens, and treadeth upon the waves of the sea.
Which maketh Arcturus, Orion, and Pleiades, and the chambers of the south.Which doeth great things past finding out; yea, and wonders without number.Lo, he goeth by me, and I see him not: he passeth on also, but I perceive him not.
Behold, he taketh away, who can hinder him? who will say unto him, What doest thou?
If God will not withdraw his anger, the proud helpers do stoop under him.

Cats
One day as I was exploring our yard (this was soon after we had moved in) I heard a loud meowing coming from some bushes. I walked over to investigate, and, lo and behold, there stood1 cat. It was a brown cat, like the one in the picture. Mom said it was probably a stray, so I made friends with her and named her Isabella.
A few weeks later, we discovered that Isabella had 6 kittens. We children were delighted, but for some reason Mom didn't seem to be quite so thrilled.
The kittens grew, we tamed them, one of them dissapeared, he was a male so we assumed that he had been driven of by the other males (we had 2 others).
Then, one day, we saw our cat 'Butch' carrying a mouse, a rather large, funny shaped mouse across the yard. Following, to congratulate her on her catch, we discovered that the 'mouse' was, a kitten! We had a hasty confrence, and renamed 'Butch' 'Annabella' After her mother who she looked exactly like. Annie for short. She had 3 more kittens
Soon, two other cats had kittens, 4 each. Ha, ha, that ads up to a grand sum of 19 cats.... two missing (Issabella dissapeard soon after she brought us her kittens) makes 17. That, is a lot of cats. (you should have seen our yard when the nieghbor's dogs decided to come over. The air (trees) was filled with hissing spitting cats! ).
Well, over the years, we have gained a few, lost a few.... and now we have seven.

James 1:11
For the sun is no sooner risen with a burning heat, but it withereth the grass, and the flower thereof falleth, and the grace of the fashion of it perisheth: so also shall the rich man fade away in his ways.
Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.
James 1:11-12
Guess the green grass is 'enduring temptation' :).
